Jeremiah Meyler (?-1792)
Robert Whatley, Jeremiah Meyler, and Charles Hall were all Bristol men who had been associated in trade in Jamaica with Francis Bright (the brother of Henry Bright of Bristol), who had died in 1753 or 1754. Manuscript 8015 (44), Bristol Archives Office. Robert Whatley had been a partner of Edward Whatley in privateering ventures out of Bristol in the 1740's. J. W. Damer Powell, Bristol Privateers and Ships of War (Bristol, Eng., 1930), p. 182. Jeremiah Meyler was a relative, perhaps a brother, of Richard Meyler of Bristol.
