The Papers of General Nathanael Greene

Colonel Lewis Morris, Jr. To Colonel John Gunby.

Gunby's letter of 28 January "came to hand." NG is not there, but Morris is sure he will not object to Gunby's keeping the stockings. "The Army is marching to join General Morgan"; Gunby should reroute the expresses via Guilford Court House and Salisbury and halt all stores at Guilford, "except those Captain [John] Smith has Selected for the immediate use of the Army."[1]
