The Papers of General Nathanael Greene

To Doctor William Read.

Read is to move the hospital across the Dan River, keeping advised of the enemy's movements and getting the teams and supplies he needs by "contract or impressment." NG has received his letter, but cannot provide money; Read must do the best he can.[2] Adds in a postscript that [Robert] Wilson has gone to Hillsborough for coffee and sugar, which he is to impress if necessary.[3]
