I have receved your Letter of the 16 & l8th. The General wishes you to have all the Oznabergs made up into overalls as soon as possible. You will pay the people in Iron agreeable to your proposal. Mr Smith had linnen to make 1800 pair of overalls & 340 Shirts which he promised to have finished and sent to you by the 30th Inst., including the 201 Shirts & 251 pr Overalls sent by Mr Hill. How many will you have from the Linnen put into your hands?
The prisoners now at Salisbury are ordered to Virga which will relieve the posts. Major Hyrne who is appointed Commissary of Prisoners will superintend this business. You will give him every assistance in your power. You will have your business in a train to admit of your joining the Army on the shortest notice. You will have the Stocade compleat. The overalls shoes & Shirts must be sent to Capt Hambleton with an invoice for the Genl. There were three pair of old overalls and a number of dirty Shirts among those sent by Mr Hill. I am
