Notwithstanding the orders I gave you at Camp on Pedee you will immediately order all the Dragoons that are fit for duty in the neighbourhood of the Moravian towns to march to this place and join Lt Col. Washington as soon as possible.
If Cap Smith with the stores under his direction should not have proceeded to the Army on Pedee, You will direct him to proceed to [ ] Ford on the Yadkin near Salisbury and inform me of his situation. I am Sir
